Events

Troop 447 meets every Tuesday from 7:30-9 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church (CEC.) Additionally, there are monthly campouts and a variety of other service activities and events including Summer Camp in early July and the Montgomery County Fair in mid-August.

    Our Annual Family Banquet and Court of Honor will be held on May 17. All are welcome and encouraged to attend this important milestone event celebrating the troop's 75th year!

    This is an opportunity to catch up with all the other families in our troop, learn more about the Troop, and support the scouts who are celebrating a rank advancement or a new merit badge.

  • Flags for Our Heroes Memorial Day Weekend Camping Service Project

    Flags For Our Heroes celebrates our heroes, living and deceased, in a touching tribute to the people who mean the most to us. Every Memorial Day weekend since 2014, a Field of Honor located at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg, Maryland shimmers with more than 750 8-foot-high American flags fluttering in the gently warming Spring breezes. The flags are sponsored by corporations and individuals who want to honor their heroes. Each flag bears the name of the sponsor and the sponsor’s hero on a beautiful medallion. The medallions are then returned to be kept as mementos for the sponsors or their honorees.

    Troop 447 scouts volunteer to camp out at Bohrer Park to watch over and secure the flags 24 hours a day, during the event.

    Wear Class A for departure and return from MCPS Board of Education Parking Lot 850 Hungerford Dr Rockville, MD.

    Troop 447 will head to Resica Falls for Summer Camp 2025. Visit the camp website for more information about the exciting summer programs. Advanced registration required.
